Not in lone splendour.

Despite the fact that I lugged a 30 pound amp and two guitars on the subway from Astoria to the Lower East Side and back by myself, only to play mostly for people trying to make their way to the show downstairs, I managed to enjoy myself today. The host of the day party, Pat Duffy, was gracious, and I had a couple free beers. I was in an unshakably good mood from the night before, due to how well my first stint as a professional arranger went. And afterwards I met a friend of a friend, Phil, who took me on a little photoshoot jaunt around the neighborhood. All in all, a strange but not unproductive day. Now back to real work for a few days, and then what is shaping up to be an epic weekend: two shows, and a video shoot and interview for Baeble’s Guest Apartment. I’m happy (as a clam) about all this.
