1/21/08 - I was feeling impulsive recently, so I went ahead and put together 12 outtakes, b-sides, and other "rarities" from the past few years into a compilation which is now available for free download in the "A.V." section. None of this material is representative of what will be on the second album, really, but I thought it might be nice for some of you who are interested to get a little glimpse of the creative process. The tracks range from demos pre-dating "What the Night Said" to demos completed within the last month, but it is all stuff that has fallen to the wayside for one reason or another. A couple of the tracks included may find their way onto the second album, but if so it will be in a radically different form. Out of the probably hundreds of different song versions, instrumental recordings, et cetera, I tried to pick ones with some interesting moments in them, regardless of fidelity or overall...quality. It's definitely not my Basement Tapes, but enjoy nonetheless.

1/17/08 - The website is up. Other than that, not a whole lot going on. I've written a few new songs for the second album; in total, I have about 25 songs now, and I suppose I should figure out how to narrow things down, but I think I'd rather just keep writing and worry about that later. The songs that don't get recorded or don't end up making the cut will probably make their way onto some other collections down the road, or perhaps I'll just release some B-Sides for free after the album comes out.
